my name is Alexis and I’m 31 years old.

I was born in New York and currently reside in Florida with my baby, partner, and stepdaughter. We also have a 5-year-old cat named Princess Consuela Banana Hammock who is either an absolute terror or an absolute angel. My full-time “day job” is within the legal field. I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. My day-to-day routine/schedule is pretty packed, but whenever I get the chance, I love to take long walks, eat delicious food, and binge a good true-crime docuseries once in a while.

I created this blog because becoming a mom has made my life infinitely richer, and I decided I wanted to write about it. Most of my content may seem geared toward women/moms (because that is my role), but dads are absolutely welcome here, too.

As a disclaimer, you’ll notice I refer to my baby in my articles as “Bebe.” That’s not her real name, and I will probably never share her real name or show her face on this blog. When she gets older and comes of age, she can choose how she wants to present herself to the world. But for now, displaying my child just feels exploitative. If you’re a parent, you get it.

I post a new article every Friday, so please feel free to subscribe if you want to. Also, if you have any ideas/requests on what I should write about, you can click on the “Contact Me” link in the header.
